Here is us planning our shot sequences. This was a very important part of making our music video and took many hours to actually finish planning the shot sequences. It is such an important part of making the music video because it allows us to plan what props we need to take for each scene, where to shoot the scene, and reduces the amount of time taken to actually film the video. We planned our shot sequence on more than one occasion, which shows good planning but was very time consuming. As you can see we watched the original video of Kid Cudi - Day n Nite so we could plan our timing perfectly which we did managed do I think very well. While planning our music video there were many arguments about what should be done and where which shows that we cared about our final music video. Here we are at school planning in a lesson, but it took much more time than just our lessons to plan the video.
This again is us planning our shot sequences and using the laptop to play the original Kid Cudi song so we can get the timing perfect. Here we were missing Josh Stevens because he was busy, however even though we had one person missing we still continued to finish our shot sequences. We planned this round arran's house because it's near Mikey so he could walk there easily, and I could drive there and was the most convenient place to plan.
Problems
One problem we came upon when planning was that we were planning things that were too complicated to realisticly achieve. This led us to having to re-plan large parts of the music video and was very time consuming. This also meant that we had to re-make the story board which again was very time consuming. Another problem we had was arranging to plan when everyone was free because we all had other commitments, such as coursework, other homework and also leisure activities such as football. However we overcame these difficulties and eventually had the exact story board and shot sequences that we wanted, this took a lot of effort but was a major relief when we finally finished all the planning, and also made filming seem very simple and easy.
